At Blast Zone, our children's classes are separated into four age groups. Qualified teachers and assistants keep all the children, from our youngest to the oldest, busy with fun, interactive teaching and exciting worship experiences geared for kids. Services are held beginning at 10 AM and parents can enjoy the adult gathering with peace of mind since all chidren are logged in and out of class with our secure check-in system.
Nursery: 6 weeks - 1 year
We have a core group of adult and youth helpers that serve in the nursery and strive to provide a safe, nurturing environment where we love all with the love of Christ. Even though the babies are too young to sit and have a time of learning and bible lesson, we endeavor to begin building a foundation in each child that will lead to a lifetime of walking with the Lord. We accomplish this through our loving interactions with them and by continually sharing with them that they are each very special, are “fearfully and wonderfully made” and that Jesus loves them.
Toddlers: 2 years - 3 years
Every Sunday the class begins with a time of praise and worship where the children are able to dance and use a variety of instruments and flags. The rest of the service intermingles , instruction, crafts, free play and of course, snack time! What a busy time of learning and play! As you can see, we are not just babysitting. Rather, we are sowing spiritual truth into the hearts of God's children in bite size pieces, just small enough for them to digest.
PowerKidz: 4 years - 1st grade & Kingdom Kidz: 2nd grade - 4th grade
We kick off our service and connect the children to a vital part of the church experience, and the heart of God, through our worship time led by a team comprised of children and adult helpers. Our Sundays begin with children who are not mere spectators in the worship experience but participators and leaders! From there, the kids break out into their classrooms for age appropriate lessons. Teachers and assistants lead and disciple their classes in various studies through the Word of God. Each staff member desires to develop the spiritual knowledge, understanding and potential of every child. Emphasis is given on activating the call to ministry through the use of creative arts and local outreach. At Gateway we know that every child is called to reach out and minister to others. Via our various programs and outreach opportunities scheduled throughout the year, we teach the children that because Jesus is on the inside, His same anointing is upon and within them to do the works of Jesus!
